On new year 2020, at exactly 12:19 am on 1st january 2020, Moses Kuria, the controverial legislator from Gatundu South tweeted that he will be off the social network (Twitter) for the rest of the gorund and that ‘tukutane kwa ground’.
‘Happy New Year 2020 good people. For those who thought they know me: 1. I am deactivation my Social Media Accounts (Except Whatsapp) throughout 2020. See you in 2021. This is my last post of the year 2. I am off alcohol throughout the year 2020. 3. Tukutane kwa ground‘, MP Kuria tweeted
Today, 18 days after, his itchy fingers have come back to tweet about why he had to break ranks with President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Sharing a picture from local newspaper Daily Nation Moses Kuria tweeted ‘Daily Nation pg 5’.
The MP accuses President Kenyatta of surrounding himself with elitist people whose ‘understanding of real issues was suspect’.
He further states that he has no personal problems/differences with the President but that he was deemed a rabble-rouser for fighting for the rights of farmers.
The legislator who represents the president in parliament has always been his footsoldier and therefore bitter about their fall-out.
Moses Kuria doesn’t support the Building Bridges Initiative. He has stated this boldly even having the ‘No Referendum Before Elections’, as his name tag on Twitter.
With the new media coverage and the activities around sensitisation of Kenyans on the BBI, it seems Moses Kuria will have to break the promise of staying away from social media.
Today he broke the promise by tweeting the same thing four times.
