Embakasi East Member of Parliament, Babu Owino is back to court just a few days after his release on bail.
The legislator, after being declared a free man, now wants the court to review his bail terms.
Apart from opposing the conditions set for him by the court on his release, Babu also seeks to stop the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) from commenting on his case.
On January 28, DPP Noordin Haji revealed that his office was in a process of revising the bail terms issued to the MP by Chief Magistrate Francis Andayi on Monday.
Haji expressed displeasure in the court ruling made, vowing to revisit the case, having written a complaint to the Judiciary Service Commission.
Babu was ordered to pay a cash bail of Ksh10 million in four equal instalments of Sh2.5 million each in the next three months, the money to be paid will be used to settle hospital bills of the Victim.
This condition was not appealing to the DPP who questioned why the money was to be paid in instalments then channelled to medical bills.
Babu Owino was arrested on January 17 in connection to a shooting incident at B-Club, Nairobi.
The accused is said to have shot the Club’s DJ namely Felix Orinda two times on the neck.
DJ Evolve has since then been in the Critical Care of Nairobi Hospital where Babu Owino took him for treatment.
