The Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI) boss Richard Ngatia was secretly filmed at Cedars Restaurant along Lenana Road in Nairobi.
Only two people in the world are enjoying the coronavirus pandemic, Richard Ngatia and Jeff Bezos.
Ngatia has been growing fatter since COVID-19 pandemic, curfew and cessation of movements hit Kenya.
An article on a local blog had sewn the scattered strings that he pulls behind the scenes as pertains to profiting from the pandemic.
The explosive article that has since been deleted stated that Ngatia, a man close to the powers that be, has used his influence to control the consignments and donations used in the fight against Covid-19.
Despite the flow of donations to Kenya, i.e. face masks, testing kits, Kenyans have found themselves more than once, asked to pay for testing and to buy masks. Where did the donations disappear to?
The local blog pointed a finger at Ngatia, it accused him of playing ‘a key role in ensuring that all these kits donated to Kenya are back in the market at exorbitant rates in what they term as “Coronapreneurs”.
The Galileo restaurant owner is said to enjoy the patronage of the high and mighty in government and his influence permeates many sectors of the government.
At his club, Ngatia has often been seen in the company of abrasive Jubilee boss David Murathe, long-time Uhuru Kenyatta aide Njee Muturi, Jeff Koinange, Devolution CS Eugene Wamalwa, and Uhuru Kenyatta private secretary and bodyguard Jomo Gecaga.
Why was Ngatia meeting Ministry of Health officials at Cedars Restaurant?
There are many scandals that Ngatia is alleged to have been part of, so much in the Health Ministry and its agencies.
Import of PPEs
Ngatia is said to have been ready for the coronavirus outbreak since January 2020, he imported a lot of the testing kits and PPEs that would be critical, before the lockdown of airspace around the World. He had intelligence from security forces about this and so prepared well.
Currently, Kenya has 10s of thousands of testing kits in the country, with two-thirds having been donated by Chinese Jack Ma and others, but these donations were taken over by Ngatia, to be resupplied to private hospitals.
Chief among the two health facilities are Lancet and Nairobi hospital. The two have been wrangling over test results recently.
They should shit up or else, Ngatia will prefer a new hospital.
Meanwhile, Kenyans are wondering where test kits and PPEs for their doctors went to?
Managed Equipment Services, ‘it is normal for them to steal’
This sh38 billion project that saw higher tier public hospitals in all the 47 counties supplied with high-tech machines to help manage diseases such as cancer and diabetes, became a scandal because it retains so much cash at the national govt level ostensibly to pay the loans for the equipments.
Counties pay sh9.4 billion annually to the central government for equipments most doctors at the counties don’t know how to operate; most of these machines are rotting away in hospitals, yet their loan is being serviced.
The MES is an emotive issue, doctors demanded pay increase but govt put their representative in prison.
Currently, Kenya has reported 3215 cases of the virus, 1092 of those have recovered and 92 unfortunately succumbed.
Coronavirus is a disruptive disease, it’s been made so, for some unknown agenda, it is obviously not that deadly.
Moving on, Covid-19 test kits are as rare and hard to find as diamonds.
Kenyans have been paying for quarantine services.
Kenyans have criticised the curfew and cessation of movement extension. Many people are in trouble; jobless, hungry and angry.
Leaders are still stealing from Kenyans even in the time of pandemic.
What was Ngatia discussing with the Ministry of Health officials?
