Residents of Kinoo are now demanding the DCI to investigate Kenya Power over suspected con game as the company asked residents to raise money for purchasing a new transformer after the initial one failed.
According to one of the residents who reached out to Kenyanbulletin.com, their efforts to reach out to Kenya Power demanding to have the electricity fixed have not worked with the company only promising to fix the issue.
Here’s their plea to KPLC,
“This is a total mess to residents of KINOO/MUTHIGA power failure in a transformer ( REF NO: 5608562 )
We have had no power for the last 10 days at this Area location.
All our efforts trying to reach out to Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC) both Sub-Office, County Region-Office, & Head-Office have not worked but only to give us reference number and false hope promising to work out till to date.
DCI should investigate this matter because the residents were told to raise cash in-oder of purchasing there new replacement of transformer, we must admit that the Sub-office is totally corrupt a puzzle that we need it resolved and get answers regarding this matter.
Insecurity is on the rise, water supply is no more as pumps rely on power we have to buy Water, Hygiene has deteriorated posing a threat to residents; a potential cholera outbreak.
Why is KPLC Kikuyu constituent Misbehaving.?
Why are they punishing innocent people using uncouth means.?
Why can’t they get the guys tapping power instead of sending the whole area into blackout.?”
