K24 TV announced the launch of a new show that will debut at 9 pm on Friday, July 10, 2020, 40 days after Betty Kyallo resigned.
The new show will be called The Loop and will be hosted by Valentine Njoroge, Mike Wachira and Jason Runo.
The Loop will have two segments.
The first part will feature an in-depth analysis of issues affecting Kenyans where Mike and Valentine will also interview experts.
“K24 is doing something brand new at 9 pm. No news, no anchors but a bold and fresh look at our lives in Kenya today,” Valentine described the show adding that for her it was a dream come true.
“We are going to take a bold and fresh look into our lives here in Kenya,” Mike hinted.
The show will also have a section called Unplugged, which will delve into issues affecting creative arts and entertainment.
Unplugged will be hosted by Jason Runo who had taken a 16-year break from regular TV.
“After a 16-year hiatus from a regular TV gig. I’m excited to be back! So honoured to work with Valentine and Mike,” he stated.
Valentine Njoroge started her media career as a radio presenter over 10 years ago. Since then she has been a TV producer and presenter and honed her skills as a journalist
Mike is a presenter at HomeBoyz Radio and a human rights lawyer.
Jason is the founder and proprietor of Because You Said So, Kenya’s first improvised comedy show.
K24 TV also made additions to its regular news programs, hiring Diana Rose, Giverson Maina, Daniel Kituu, Abuller Ahmed and Nicholas Nduti.
