US President-elect Joe Biden has settled on an all-female communication team led by Kate Bedingfield who served as his deputy campaign communications director.
The all female team which is the first in the country’s history will have Jen Psaki, who was President Barack Obama’s White House communications director as its press secretary.
The overzealous Biden has vowed to establish a diverse administration that will have the full reflection of the U.S.A.
“I am proud to announce today the first senior White House communications team comprised entirely of women. These qualified, experienced communicators bring diverse perspectives to their work and a shared commitment to building this country back better.” Biden’s statement read.
Vice-President-elect Kamala Harris will have Symone Sanders and Ashley Etienne as her top aide press secretaries.
Bearers of the press office do not require Senate confirmation like the cabinet positions which Biden has been unveiling since his controversial win.
Biden has emphasized that his team will lead the world and keep America safe and secure.
His doctor [Dr Kevin O’Connor] said in a statement that Biden who will be sworn into office on January 20 will wear a walking boot for several weeks.
The transition process begun last week with the president-elect now set to begin receiving presidential daily briefings, a top secret intelligence brief.
