Delta Handling Company(DHC), a subsidiary of FedEx Kenya has been exposed of enslaving Kenyan workers.
In a social media post, employees of DHC said they need urgent help from an illegal immigrant enslaving Kenyan workers at FedEx.
“Hi kindly we urgently need your assistance and we appreciate the good job you’re doing sir. We work for Delta Handling company a clearing company for FedEx here in kenya. We are really suffering sir. Our airport operation manager is a guy from Lebanon he’s using fake passport na names at the airport he’s known by the name Mike but his really name is Mourade Salloum.” an employee shared.
The anonymous source later revealed the inhumane working conditions that DHC has imposed on Kenyans.
“1. We report at 7.00 am from Monday to Monday
2. You are not allowed to stand or sit he’s always on the cctv camera
3. We are not allowed to have breakfast.
4. We are not allowed to make or receive calls
4. He has been many occasions abusive to Customs officers at KHL. He’s so arrogant just from the gate insulating the guys manning the gate.” a source started.
According to the reports, DHC had hired two immigrants one was deported last year November after complaints went through.
In 2018, DHC was accused of taxing an importor more than the actual price of the commodity imported.
