Hours after he vowed to jet back into his home country despite the High Court’s decision declining to lift red alerts issued against him, exiled Kenyan lawyer Miguna Miguna has this evening demonstrated he is currently a man whose spirit simply can’t be broken.
Through a social media post seen by kenyanbulletin.com on Friday, 12 November 2021, the former Chief Advisor to (former) Prime Minister Raila Odinga who currently resides in Ontario, Canada, shared a heartwarming photo alongside his three daughters.
“The joy of fatherhood,” he captioned it.
In the last part of the tweet, Miguna sent greetings to the people of Kano in his hometown Nyando.
“See you soon,” he told them.
Moments after the post went up, hundreds of netizens flocked the replies section.
Among those who camped under the post were members of the infamous “Team Mafisi” who could not help but drool at the fine ‘Jabers’.
Some bold ones even inquired the number and cows the self-proclaimed revolutionist would accept to free the three of them at once.
Earlier in the day, Miguna made a statement in which he declared that he will not hesitate to travel back home next week saying that he already has a valid court order of 2018.
High Court Judge Hedwig Ongudi had Friday declined to issue orders sought by the lawyer to facilitate his return to Kenya.
In the ruling, the court dismissed the application on grounds that it could not rely on speculation to grant the orders sought by Miguna Miguna.
But the barrister quickly hit back.
“I will proceed with my journey as previously communicated and in accordance with Justice Chacha Mwita’s Order of December 14, 2018, and Justice Weldon Korir’s Order of January 6, 2020,” read the statement.
Miguna went further to state that he will not grow faint of fighting for his Kenyan rights saying that even if he is barred from flying into the country he would go back to court.
“If I am blocked again, the matter will return to court. If not, see you soon. Viva!” he wrote.
