Equity Bank has announced that they are experiencing a system glitch with their online and mobile banking applications.
This comes a time that many Kenyans were logged out of the apps and their Personal Identification Numbers(PIN) not logging them back in.
“You cannot even access their app, have inconvenienced a lot of people” one Kenyan shared with this writer.
The senior editor of Kenyanbulletin.com has contacted to inquire if the Bank has been hacked, equity bank and this is the reply they shared to this writer.
“Hi, that’s not the case. There’s a slight hitch affecting Eazzy Banking app & Equitel STK access at the moment but the issue is being addressed by our Tech Team. Our apologies for the inconvenience caused.”
Is Bank being insincere with its clients?
“How does someone withdraw money from from their Equity account to their Mpesa via Equitel, get confirmation the amount has been credited to their Mpesa but the Mpesa msg comes back over 24hrs later confirming the amount was credited to someone else?
According to the our background search, equity bank has not processed transactions from Thursday last week.
“It might be true. Because I have two pending transactions since Friday. I send to some people and they haven’t received.”
