Brighton was an admin of two groups with a total of 72 participants, who had been sold the examination papers.
The suspect who is a serial offender is currently in custody, to be charged with contravening section 28 of National Examination malpractices Act 29, 2012.
Reaction from Kenyans online:
Jay-mo Njogu – “He is teaching lazy students their first real lesson in life, his papers won’t affect the outcome of he exams kama hawakusoma shauri Yao.. The only thing you can charge him with is selling revision papers at an exorbitant cost.”
Esther Chuguka – “In Kenya everything is a scam why arrest him for primary n secondary fake exams yet our politicians hold fake degrees PhD etc they should be put on notice.”
Monica Odero – “So Kenyans still buy exams..kweli foolishness is real..huyo anatafuta pesa mwacheni…wenye are buying are the ones you should be arresting to end this nonsense…was it by force or willingly… Kenyans have money .so lower food prices doesn’t apply…if you don’t want to study but you want an A… Kenyans will give you by all means.”
Patrick Mulyungi – “Both the seller and the buyers are engaging in illegal business!!..I would really blame the buyers in this case, the seller saw an opportunity in the market and like any other entrepreneur they took the opportunity with both hands to make money despite engaging in an illegal business..People get duped because they want things through the easy way and also bcoz they are so desperate!!..But despite all this, two wrongs don’t make a right!!..Both parties should be behind bars..”
Kanu Rashid – “Those students/individuals are planning to cheat on the exams should be arrested as well plus their guardians who ought to provide them with cash. The guy is just hustling to make ends meet. On the other side he is trying to protect the students from failing in exams so that each child pass the exam with flying colors hence making the students to excel and have a luminous future.”
Bill Clinton Ooko – “I was arrested during COVID holidays by a certain tumbocratic chief and his cronies for tutoring five highschoolers. He saw our session as a ‘crowd’ against covid laws… I later found a high paying job and the same chief licked my boot for my services. Youths are suffering because of this Babylon regime.”
WawairishWawairish Msanii Jay Tee – “I may blame our education system because up-to-date it’s based on points attained notability. He too might have passed through the same route and that’s why he didn’t make it to a public university because he relied on leakage. All the parents who had bought from him should also be punished as per the law. But pliz spare the future of the “innocent” young boys and girls.”
Victor Lihanda Lihanda – “You don’t know how Life in campus is hard economiwise.. that Guy was struggling to survive,
And BTW, maybe he was just distributing the papers to aid in revision and the amount was a token of appreciation!
Comrade is always right and mboka ni mboka “
C.M. Mwashi – “Address the source…Am in 200% in my assumption that this must be a middle man..On that list we have teachers and parents..I think if Knec can admit the paper are from them then the users are handling stollen property…Wait a Min recruite this guy in the service by force and attach him to Knec and you will solve a major problem leakage of papers.”
Wambui Kiama – “The big boys are making it hard for young people…
Muna expect ana survive aje na maybe hana ata pocket money…
Just because your bills were sorted or because you sort your children’s bills doesn’t mean that everyone else has a back up….
Plus you said it’s fake papers….?
Are you arresting him because he did not sell original papers or are you arresting him because he sold fake papers…??
It doesn’t make sense to people who live from hand to mouth.”
