NTV’s Joe Ageyo was appointed as the Group Editorial Director of the Nation Media Group (NMG) in managerial changes effected on Friday, November 4.
Ageyo, who previously served as NMG’s Editorial Director for Broadcasting was tasked with leading all editorial operations for the media outlet.

The former Citizen TV Editorial Director took over from Mutuma Mathiu, who was appointed to serve as consulting editor.
“Mutuma Mathiu will support Joe Ageyo on specific editorial projects,” NMG stated.
Ageyo’s promotion came barely months after he joined Nation Media Group.
The former NewsGang panellist joined NMG in March 2022 after leaving Royal Media Services (RMS).
NMG also named Monica Ndungu as its Chief Operating Officer (COO).
“The COO will drive organisational transformation, product strategy, strategy implementation and broadcasting,” the media house explained.
Previously, Ndungu served as the executive director of transformation – a position she was appointed to in April 2022.
Richard Tobiko, on the other hand, will be the Chief Finance Officer (CFO).
Notably, the organisation is yet to fill the position of Chief Commercial Officer.
Ageyo, Mathiu, Ndungu and Tobiko will hold the positions on an interim basis until April 2023.
