
DCI, Amin Mohamed, on Wednesday 15th moved to court seeking the CCTV footage of former CS Matiang’i’s Karen residence in Nairobi.
This followed Matiangi’s headline over allegations that there was a police raid at his home.
They also want an extend footage of the area surrounding his home.
The police are treating the case as an attempted robbery with violence, therefore, court to grant them orders to extract the CCTV footage from several security companies with CCTV in the estate.
Chief Inspector Eunice Njeu told the court the footage will help in the investigations at Karen-Ngong view Estate.
The DCI disputes that police were involved in the said raid and says the National Police Service did not sanction the same, making it necessary to access the CCTV footage.
