Days after Kenya Films Classificationd Board (KFCB) Chairman Ezekiel Mutua cancelled his request for monetary support amid concerns of clean content, City based politician Alinur Mohamed has come in aid of musician Bahati.

Bahati had sought financial support from the KFCB boss to help with his current album about to be launched in which the moral cop promised the creative 200, 000 that was yet to be released to him.

In his statement while coming to Bahati’s aid, Alinur stated that he will reimburse Bahati the said amount as a show of commitment to supporting the artistes in the Country.

The flamboyant businessman went ahead to noting that there are better ways to solving issues that parading them on social media like Mutua did for cheap clout.

In his castigation to Mutua, Alinur continued that the move did not only paint Bahati negatively, but also impacted negatively on his main source of income.

“I believe there are better ways to sort issues other than parading them online for cheap publicity. KFCB’s CEO Dr. Ezekiel Mutua alias Deputy Jesus has said that he has cancelled 200K partnership deal with @BahatiKenya.

That has not only tainted Baha’s name but also jeopardized his main source of income. In my consistent commitment to support local artists, I am going to pay the 200k to Bahati” promised Alinur Mohamed.

Mutua had on June 12, 2021 announced their cancellation of the financial support of 200,000 to the musician over claims of explicit content.

The board had agreed to give him the cash in support of his new album Fikira za Bahati , but changed tune later on over policy partnership contravention.

This is after a video of the hitmaker surfaced online with a huge cigar as puffs it at a joint, with a lady behind him.

“This week @InfoKfcb cancelled over 200k cash and other kind support to musician @BahatiKenya following the posting of videos which contravened our clean content and partnership policy. Our team decided to cancel the support and disassociate completely with the planned event,” wrote Mutua.
