Liverpool defender Joel Matip has extended his contract extension with the Premier League leaders on Friday.
His existing deal was to expire at the end of this season (2019/2020), but the former Cameroon international has chosen to stay at Anfield.
Matip joined Jurgen Klopp’s side as a free agent from Chalke 04 in 2016. Though club did not reveal the length of his contract extension, there are media reports that the talented centre back will be at the club till 2024.
