Police in Bungoma are looking for the man who burnt his daughter’s private parts over a boyfriend in Kanduyi sub-county.
The incident was reported by the mother of the 16-year-old victim who is a form two student at Bukembe SA Secondary School.
The suspect reportedly used an electric iron to burn both thighs, buttocks and sexual organs of the girl. She is admitted at the Bungoma County Referral Hospital where she is undergoing treatment to ease the serious pain.
“I don’t understand why I had to go through all this,” she complained.
The mother said the father of the girl got information from their neighbors that their daughter was with a man within their village.
Bungoma OCPD Wilson Nanga said they have launched a manhunt for the suspect and promised to arrest and arraign him in court.
“We have launched a manhunt for the man and we will arraign him court once arrested,” Nanga said
