Sema na Citizen is anchored by Mashirima Kapombe, Nimrod Taabu, Mwanahamisi Hamadi, Rashid Abdalla and Lulu Hassan, from Monday to Friday from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm.

“Sema na Citizen is beginning a new journey that has quality content for the good of the community,” the station said in the announcement.

On Mondays, Nimrod Tabu will take the mantle, addressing matters pertaining to national development and correlated agendas.

His Swahili counterpart, Mashirima Kapombe will lead the show on Tuesdays, discussing issues on leadership in different counties.

Mwanahamisi Hamadi will be in charge of Wednesdays, discussing health and articulating different issues affecting Kenyans.

“Because as we analyze these issues, the viewer needs to be in good health, Mwanahamisi Hamadi will be ensuring that we improve our health,” read the announcement in part.

Citizen TV anchoring couple Rashid Abdalla and Lulu Hassan will lead discussions on Thursday and Friday respectively.

Rashid will oversee developments across the country and highlight the different employment sectors and industries.

“Rashid Abdalla will be ready to give us the truth about the development of our nation. During this discussion, even those who do not always speak will have something to say and what was promised to be done, will be done,” wrote Citizen TV in their announcement.

Lulu Hassan will manage discussions on lifestyle and entertainment in different locations in the country.

Sema na Citizen was first aired on live television on July 23rd, 2018. The new changes will take effect beginning 6th February 2023, with an aim of improving content delivery and ratings.

“This is the new beginning of productive journalism. This is where you should be,” added Citizen TV.
