CJ Maraga ‘baby mama’ offered Sh100k

Mary Kwamboka Onyancha, the woman who claimed that Chief Justice David Maraga sired a child with her, was offered help from unlikely quarters after Nominated Senator Millicent Omanga offered her Ksh 100,000.

In a post on her verified Facebook page, Omanga empathised with the woman and criticised those who had attacked her for the claims.

“Dear Kwamboka, as a woman and a mother, I understand your anger and refuse to join ranks with those who are condemning you,” she posted.

Omanga stated that she would like to see the matter being resolved as soon as possible and in the best interests of the child in question.

She went on to offer Kwamboka money which she wanted used to settle the disputes.

“I believe you will need legal representation and DNA tests to prove the allegations against the CJ and I am willing to provide Ksh 100,000 to cater for that, provided you can privately convince me of the merit of your case including the existence of the minor and prior contact with the CJ if any,” the senator offered.

She also stated that she was not happy with how Kwamboka had chosen to publicise her story.

“I may not agree with your methods because Chief Justice David Maraga is a respected elder and leader, but you deserve fairness by all means,” Omanga stated.

However, Maraga’s lawyer Danston Omari stated that the birth certificate presented by Kwamboka had glaring mistakes.

He noted that there is no registrar of births by the name F.O Shamwata in the country.
