DP associates have asked CS Matiangi and PS Kibicho to learn from the fates of the late Saitoti and Nkaissery – ODM MPs say after CS Matiang’i and DP Ruto’s fight

Homabay County Women representative Gladys Wanga, on Wednesday, cautioned against Deputy President William Ruto remarks which ostensibly threatened CS for Interior and Coordination of National Security Fred Matiang’ i and his PS Karanja Kibicho.

Wanga accompanied by other ODM members said there was a lot of attacks lately from politicians especially those allied to the DP-Tanga Tanga- team on civil servants who are unable to adequately defend themselves.

“We have seen the DP and his associates warn CS’ and PS’ he believes are standing on his way to learn from history.

“Some of the DP associates have asked CS Matiangi and PS Kibicho to learn from the fates of the late Professor George Saitoti and Joseph Nkaissery.

“These are very loaded and desperate warnings which should not be wished away, ” She said during a press briefing.

The Legislator also told the DP to be prepared to learn from the history of other deputy presidents in the past that he wants them to learn from.

The ODM MPS believed Ruto was angry because his corruption taps had ran dry and the fake projects he used to launch were no longer available.

“For this, he must face the president and not the civil servants, ” She added.

On Friday, November 29, while speaking at a fundraiser in Kirinyaga county, Matiang’ i stated that he only took orders from President Uhuru Kenyatta.

“I want to inform politicians who claim that Kibicho is out to frustrate them that the two of us are public servants and we work for everyone. That’s our mandate as directed by President Uhuru Kenyatta,” Matiang’ i stated while defending his PS Karanja Kibicho from attacks by Ruto allies.

This statement did not augur well with some politicians.

On Monday, December 2, former Kakamega Senator, Boni Khalwale reiterated the DP’s stance, accusing Matiang’ i of overstepping.

He argued that the Interior CS was appointed by both the president and his deputy and therefore he needed to respect them both.
