Here Are The 6 Counties That Are Coronavirus Hotspots In Kenya

The novel Coronavirus has now claimed four lives in Kenya and over 122 have tested positive as the disease continues to rock the world.

Leading with the number of patients testing positive for COVID-19 is Nairobi County, Kajiado, Kwale and Mombasa have also recorded positive patients.

Kitui County which lost a seasoned Kenya Airways pilot Major (Rtd) Captain Daudi Kimuyu Kibati who succumbed to COVID-19 infection is also a hotspot.

The Government raised a red flag on Kilifi County as an emerging hot spot for the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) late last month. This is after Kilifi Deputy Governor Gideon Saburi expanded the county’s infection chain after he declined to self isolate himself despite returning from Germany; one of the coronavirus-hit countries.

Kilifi deputy governor Gideon Saburi has since been arrested.

The government has discouraged intercounty travelling in a bid to flatten the curve which is now locally transmitted.
