How Minet Kenya is trading ahead of other insurance brokers

Minet Kenya is now one of the top insurance brokers that have met the required parameters of the program after being feted with a precious award as the overall best intermediary of the year in the 2020 awards by UAP Insurance Kenya Limited.

The awards included all the key intermediated distribution channels like brokers, independent agents, tied agents and banks.

“We are really proud of all winners and their commitment towards supporting our business. The Loyalty awards are an important initiative for us as they provide us with the opportunity to keep solidifying our partnerships with our intermediaries and eventually the customer” the company stated.

The UAP Old Mutual loyalty program was created to celebrate the top intermediaries and to lead the insurance market in attracting and retaining top-performing intermediaries.

Minet Kenya runs an integrated financial service model which allows all its clients access to all financial solutions including insurance, savings, investments, and banking under the same roof.

“It is our responsibility to ensure fair play. We exist to ensure that not only our clients win when looking for the best insurance solution possible in the market but also that the insurance business remains sustainable for both the underwriter and Minet Kenya. We thank UAP Old Mutual for recognizing our efforts as intermediaries championing responsible broking” said Sammy Muthui, Minet Kenya CEO.

The broker recently held a four-day medical camp where more than 900 Nairobi residents benefitted from free medical checkups.

Some of the health services offered included free physician consultation, eye and dental check-ups, blood sugar tests, blood pressure, body fat and Body Mass Index (BMI) screening, electrocardiogram (ECG) test for hypertension patients and nutritional coaching.

Mr Muthui emphasized that Minet Kenya is determined to advance wellness and create awareness of rising cases of non-communicable diseases as they encouraged the need for regular medical check-ups to prevent such ailments.

While most of the non-communicable diseases like Diabetes, Cancer, and Hypertension are silent, insidious, and frequently present with no symptoms until advanced stages, many people are not aware of their current health status and exposure. Regular health check-ups can detect potentially life-threatening health conditions early increasing the chance of good treatment outcomes and arresting the emergence of complications,” Mr Muthui said.
