Any member of the public, including Citizen TV, with documentary evidence on the misconduct, was asked to submit information to the authorities.

The statement by Mutyambai read,

“Towards this end, any member of the public, including Citizen TV, with documentary evidence on the said matter are invited to submit information to the Director Internal Affairs Unit; National Police Service.”

They can also submit the evidence to National Police Service, Charlton Murithi who can be reached on 0798474619 or email: [email protected]

According to IG Mutyambai, the decision was reached after a meeting with Interior CS Fred Matiang’i and DPP Noordin Haji.

A statement by Interior spokesperson Wangui Muchiri said IG Mutyambai is expected to submit a status report within 14 days.

On Sunday night, Citizen TV aired an expose that revealed how senior government officials used their influence to allegedly intimidate a wealthy Asian family.
