Kenya’s Ambassador to South Sudan Chris Mburu is dead. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has reported that the envoy died on Sunday night after suffering a heart attack.
According to the Ministry, Mr Chris Mburu left returned to Juba on Sunday before the incident.
Ministry officials say that all they know at this moment is that the envoy suffered a heart attack but they are trying to get finer details which they shall communicate in the due cause.
The ministry also reported that Mburu was in the country after he accompanied President Salvar Kiir for the State funeral of the late former president Daniel Moi last Wednesday.
Sources in Juba revealed to KB that Mburu arrived from Nairobi on Sunday and went straight to the hospital because he had not been feeling well since that morning.
