Though the virus is still raging, the Ministry of Health (MoH) has on Monday announced 69 cases sample of 2,814 tested in the past 24 hours, bringing the total above 100,000 cases since March 2020.
This low rate of infection has been witnessed for more than three weeks lending credence to the assertion that the virus has waned in Kenya.
Of the 69 cases, Nairobi has 49, Kitui 9, Mombasa 2, Machakos 1, Busia 1, Garissa 1, Kajiado 1, Kisumu 1, Kwale 1, Meru 1, Trans Nzoia 1, and Uasin Gishu 1. – MoH
MoH announced that 449 more patients recovered from Covid-19. This raised the total to 83,418. 180 of the recovered patients were under home-based care.
No death from COVID-19, was reported in the past 24 hours, however, the death toll is at 1744 since March 2020.
The cumulative COVID-19 tests so far conducted are 1,158,920.

The global COVID-19 caseload so far is 99.2 million, with 54.8 million recovery and 2.13 million deaths.
