Missing K.U student found dead in lover’s house

The Kenyatta University student who went missing during Christmas was found dead on December 31, 2022 at her lover’s apartment in Kahawa Wendani, Kiambu County.

According to her parents, Victoria Muthoni Theuri who is persuing Public Policy and Administration was last seen on Christmas Day, December 25, 2022.

Police claim that Muthoni told her parents who live in neighboring Kahawa Sukari that she had gone to visit her sister over the festive holidays but never returned home and her mobile phone was also not reachable.

The parents called her sister to establish whether Muthoni was at her place or if she would return and the sister said she had not seen her.

It is after they realized that she was not her sister’s place that parents reported at Kahawa Sukari Police Station that she was missing.

The deceased had many problems with her parents after she got pregnant to a man her parents did not know and worse she was still in school.

Police investigations show that she spent most of her time at her boyfriend’s apartment at Alvo House before going home after school.

“The man who lives there was not around and we found it odd that there was a bad smell coming out of the house.,” one neighbour said.

Victoria’s boyfriend who had travelled to his rural home, was immediately traced, arrested and taken to the Ruiru sub-county Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) headquarters for interogation.

He told the police that he left Victoria at his house on Christmas Day and travelled to his parent’s home. Police suspect that Muthoni died at least three days earlier.
