Spencer Lencer, who sat for her exam at Bridge International Academy, scored 384 marks out of 500 and was drafted to join Nyabohanse Girls Secondary School in Migori.

Her mother, Roda Njeri, has been forced to the desperate action just to make sure she is able to cater for her education. Her efforts to secure scholarships had borne no fruits so far.

“I feel bad watching my daughter miss an opportunity to continue with her studies and excel in life. She is a bright girl with a promising future and that is why I am willing to sell my kidney to support her secondary education,” she told the publication.

On her part, Lencer, who aspires to become a neurosurgeon in future, is calling on well-wishers to intervene.

“I want to excel in life and transform the society,” she intimated.

On Monday, November 18, 2019, Education Cabinet Secretary Professor George Magoha released KCPE results for the over 1,083,456 candidates who sat for the examination.

During the release, the CS announced that the government would team up with several stakeholders in the education sector so as to provide 9,000 scholarships.
