Musalia Mudavadi’s convoy stoned in Kibra

Much anticipated Kibra by-election campaigns appear to have a taken a turn for the worse after ANC party leader Musalia Mudavadi’s convoy was stoned on Sunday, October 27 by rowdy Kibra youth.

Mudavadi and ANC Secretary-General Barack Muluka were leading campaigns for the party candidate Eliud Owalo when chaos erupted at Kamukunji Grounds in Sarang’ombe.

“We were holding our rally at Sarang’ombe when we were stoned by the youth. We don’t believe in violence. We restrained our young people,” Muluka said.

Adding that,

“We were able to leave the area and went to Laini Saba area where we continued with our campaigns.”

Several ANC supporters were injured in the chaos as the leader escaped from the rowdy youth.

Muluka stated that they would take action against the inciters of violence using legal means.

Ealier in the day, ODM and Ford Kenya supporters were engaged in a stand off after the former’s supporters locked out the Ford Kenya team from a campaign venue.
