Nairobi Stima head coach Barack Ouma is hopeful their recent 2-1 defeat of MCF will be the beginning of a good run that has been hard to come by for the side that nearly earned promotion to the Football Kenya Federation Premier league.
Hillary Otieno and Roland Makati were on target for Stima who moved out of the relegation zone climbing to 15th on the standings , 2 points off the drop zone.
‘’We can still do better because we have 17 matches to go and we are planning and taking each game at a time so am sure we will finish the season in a good position’’, said Ouma.
The defeat slowed down MCF’s latest surge which has seen it climb to 4th position with 32 points. Bradley Omondi scored MCF’s consolation.

‘’There are still 18 games to play and as you know this is our debut season in NSL and our target was to remain in the league in our first season, which we have already achieved that, but since we have 18 games remaining we will still give it all who knows what might happen?’’, posed MCF head coach David Mahira.
Shabana Fc were the biggest climbers moving to top three after a convincing 4-1 win against promotional hopefuls Vihiga Bullets. Shabana are third seven points off leaders Talanta FC while Kenya Police is placed second with 37 points.
