Intensive trouble is increasingly looming at Huawei Technologies office in Nairobi, Kenya as local labourers experience sexploitation, poor pay and poor working conditions.
Reports by our source indicate that workers get poor pay compared to foreigners as they work under poor working conditions due to recurrent abuse and mistreatment from Chinese expatriates.
The workers are also exposed to sexploitation since senior Chinese managers ‘fiest’ on desperate African ladies so intense that they at times do their dirt in toilets or even inside their offices.
The workers also have their mobile phone accessories and handsets dumped.
Our source also revealed that the firm is evading taxes adding that Huawei top managers in Kenya enjoy political protection in high levels.
A while back during John Njiraini’s reign at Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA), Huawei is said to have heard individuals working at the KRA in its oayroll that would help in making sure Huawei’s tax evasion mission is a success.
New information has however revealed that when James Mburu took over from Mr. Njiraini the managers who illegally worked with Huawei were sent home and new individuals brought it.
The departments targeted being customs, domestic and corporate support services.
One instance is when Huawei allegedly bribed a customs officer based at Mombasa was Sh15 million by Huawei.
The CEO Stone Li launched Women In Technology Initiative (WITH) with the intention of helping women in the IT sector but it has now been turned into a tool to demand sexual favours.
The initiative’s brainchild Maureen Mwaniki has also been accused of witch hunting.
Li is also accused of engaging in human trafficking by bringing Chinese in Kenya deapite the demand of jobs in Kenya.
Huawei is known to finance presidential candidates in ruling parties and even opposition world over.
Rumours spell that Huawei funded Mwai Kibaki, Uhuru Kenyatta and opposition candidate Raila Odinga through his then aide Caroli Omondi.
Using its political connections Chinese telecoms giant Huawei landed a lucrative tender to deliver a data centre, smart city and surveillance project in Kenya for Sh17.5 billion.
