The seat, or bench, accommodates three persons but when extended takes up to six people facing each other complete with a table.
The video went virals a few weeks ago and he carpenters, speaking to a local media house said they received orders worth millions of shillings that they couldn’t keep up with.
DP Ruto ordered
DP Ruto ordered five more benches worth an inflated but agreeable price of Sh150,000; considering that the seats go for Sh22,000 for the ‘common mwananchi’.
The DP agreed with them for a deposit of Sh100,000 and a balance of Sh50,000 to be paid after delivery.
The DP described Mr. Odhiambo and Mr. Otieno as “enterprising Kenyans with innovative ideas on garden furniture” adding that he was “thrilled by their cutting-edge skills and efforts.”
“I pray to God through the Son of the Carpenter from Nazareth to bless the work of their hands,” he stated.
