Embattled Nairobi Mike Mbuvi Sonko’s life may be in danger if anything the socials are speculating is to go by, while Sonko himself has not gone public over the same, the governor has been going on a series of rants against the government on his Twitter account pointing to trouble in his bedroom.
In a recent rant, the Governor had a message for leaders whom he described as ‘drunk with power’. Sonko hit out at leaders who sit at Harambee House although he did not mention any names.
“Power comes, power goes, power is temporary and transient but the will of the people, and the will of God, is eternal,” he wrote.
Now, Paul Muite, a Kenyan lawyer and politician, a prominent figure in Kenya’s second liberation struggle during the 1990s and a former presidential aspirant has come to give advice to the former Nairobi senator after activist Boniface Mwangi asked him to chip in and offer Sonko some advice.
The former Kabete MP was asked to chime in due to his past where he survived an attempt on his life. Muite had said life was in danger adding that a police squad had instructions to kill him.
He said the instructions said to have been given to the dreaded Kwekwe squad to kill him stemmed from statements he had made over the composition of the President’s family and the 2005 raid on the Standard Group offices.
While responding to Boniface Mwangi, the lawyer said Sonko remaining silent was signing his own death sentence, “Shout, go public and indicate those you believe are behind the plot. Silence Dr. Ouko style is the last thing you should do.” Muite wrote on his Twitter account.
.@MikeSonko is in a difficult position, if he reveals what he knows, he will lose his leverage and get killed. He should ask @Paul_Muite @ahmednasirlaw how they survived after someone ordered they should be murdered.

The manhunt for Sonko started when he was accused of, among other offences, abuse of office, and faces corruption charges over the award of tenders in Nairobi. Since then the Governor has been alone, feeding on leftovers after he was stripped of his Governor powers and barred from office.
