13 Photos Of BBI Meeting In Kakamega

Raila Odinga welcomes ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi at Bukhungu Stadium

The Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) has taken its message of cohesion, and a new chapter for Kenyan politics to Kakamega.

According to online sources, the meeting which is being held at Bukhungu Stadium is a series of forums that’ll be held all over the country to sensitize Kenyans about the BBI and also to collect new information about what can still be included in the BBI.

A week before the meeting and even today, politicians allied to Deputy President William Ruto were planning a parralel rally, but police denied them the permit.

Saturday morning, police had to battle scores of youths who were protesting the meeting.

A school bus ferrying people to the venue was reportedly burnt.

ANC party leader Musalia Mudavadi and his Ford Kenya Counterpart Moses Wetangula were among the leaders who were to attend the parallel rally organized by the Tangatanga movement but they beat a hasty retreat and have now joined Raila Odinga at Bukhungu.
