The Kenya electoral commission has shortlisted 36 out of over 700 total candidates to fill positions of four commissioners that were advertised previously.
The vacancies of the four commissioners came from the resignation of vice chairperson Cornie Nkatha Maina, as well as commissioners Paul Kurgat, Margaret Mwachanya and Roseline Akombe
The applicants shortlisted are expected to go through a psychometric test meant to test both cognitive and mental ability.
All shortlisted applicants are required to undertake a psychometric test on Wednesday, June, 30, at 11.00 am at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre, Nairobi. Applicants are required to arrive at the venue by 10.30 am.

It is said that over 100 applicants had a PHD degree during the vigorous process.
Former MP Felix Nyauchi, Dr. Salim Ndemo Naisiae Tobiko, Lucy Jebet- Kenya’s ambassador to Zimbabwe, and Ambassador Koki are among those shortlisted.
The interviews are set to held from July 7th to 22nd by the IEBC after the cognitive result come out.
Members of the public are invited to avail, in writing, by memoranda, any information of interest with respect to the suitability of any of the shortlisted applicants to serve as Member of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission
