Azimio La Umoja One Kenya coalition is now threatening to storm the ultra-guarded US embassy in Gigiri, Nairobi, to protest the outcome of August 9 2022 presidential elections which they claim was rigged in favour of Dr. William Ruto.
The Raila Odinga led outfit is unhappy that America is now firmly behind President Ruto and not poking their nose into Kenya’s democracy and internal affairs. They are also accusing the president of micromanaging the judiciary, legislature, IEBC and Directorate of Public Prosecution.
The opposition outfit is claiming that America and Western diplomats in Kenya have taken a backseat unlike before when they raised fingers and shouted loud.
It is relying on a document whose source is unknown. The document has also convinced them that Raila Odinga ‘won’ last years presidential race with 8,170,355 votes while Ruto came a distant second with 5,915,973 votes.
The claims were made public by Kalonzo Musyoka and Martha Karua who accused America of rigging the presidential race in favor of Ruto.
They are trashing IEBC results that showed that Ruto garnered 7,176,141 votes (50.4%) while the opposition veteran had 6,942,930 votes, translating to 48.85%.
Inside sources reveal that Odinga, Karua, Kalonzo and other Azimio sycophants will attempt to lead the march to the US embassy after holding a rally at Kamukunji on a date they have not settled on.
Azimio strategists want to use the current economic crisis to re-brand the opposition outfit by blaming the Americans for the problems facing Kenya.
The scheme is also meant to sell the opposition to the Chinese who are battling with America over Africa’s vast resources. Odinga is not happy that President Ruto has not visited China ever since he was elected president, despite the far east nation having heavily invested in Kenya during the tenures of Mwai Kibaki and Uhuru Kenyatta, but has made several trips to America and the United Kingdom.
Azimio claims that America is using Ruto to fight Chinese economic dominance in Kenya while turning a blind eye on his interference with independent institutions.
The dossier they relying on was released by unidentified man whom they claim is an employee of the Indipendent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) but President Ruto has trashed it as work of fiction.
