Over 890 litres of ethanol were last night impounded from two lorries, a centre and a trailer at Kamandura, Kiambu county by detectives from Tigoni. Two suspects both drivers, Edward Ngure 45, and Dancun Mutuma 38 ,were arrested.
The impounded ethanol is suspected to have been smuggled into the country from uganda. Acting on a tip off from suspecting members of the public, the detectives located the trailer registration number UAX 905Y offloading 42 drums of ethanol to a Isuzu canter KCR 573K at the said area. both vehicles detained by police and suspects held by police pending arraignment in court.
