Ruto: Voices of all Kenyans must be heard and respected on BBI

Deputy President William Ruto has stated that Kenyans should be given the opportunity to have the last say on BBI report. He was very categorical that those plotting to push BBI to a referendum should be ready for a big shock.

He reminded the proponents of the BBI to learn from reception that the Punguza Mzigo  met from the floors of the county assemblies. Ekuro Aukots Punguza Mizigo bill has been rejected in many counties but it was endorsed in Uasin Gishu county where Ruto hails from.

Ruto also added that the voices of all Kenyans must be heard, strong, small or big. He said few individuals should not bully Kenyans, push the country into a referendum and create positions for themselves.

Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka was quick to respond as he said that all voices must be heard but the country will still need a referendum. Kalonzo is a proponent of the BBI, together with President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM chief Raila Odinga.
