Residents of Malindi Constituency are collecting signatures in efforts to oust their renegade ODM Mp Aisha Jumwa.
The group says that the outspoken lawmaker is disrespectful and is also a dismal performer. Riziki Bays, Malindi women coordinator said that process starts immediately and urged residents of to append their signatures.
The ouster plans were revealed during the swearing in ceremony of Ganda MCA Rueben Katana at the County Assembly of Kilifi.
The group also accused the embattled lawmaker of erroneosly awarding all tenders and works to her family members. Riziki’s sentiments were echoed by Kakuyuni’s Bernard Nyiri who added that Jumwa was behind her own downfall.
Kilifi County Majority Leader Adamson Mwathethe stated that Jumwa had technically defected from ODM when she chose to campaign for an independent candidate who was beaten in the Ganda mini poll.
