The 2019 East African Safari Classic Rally will be manned by 300 police officers. The event sponsored by Safaricom PLC will kick off on November 28 with up to 60 boda boda riders participating.
According to the General Manager of East African Safari Rally, Pipi Renu, 21 entries have been recieved so far. The entries include both locals and foreigners, seven Kenyans and three Swedish nationals.
On Friday, the EA Safari Classic Rally financiers were at Pan Afric Hotel to drum up their support for the event.
Among the guests were Sitoyo Lopokoiyit, the Director Mpesa Safaricom, Marketing Manager of Vivo Energy, Mark Santeu, Sarveer Vohra, Alexander Helfritz of DT Dobie and Tushar Mehta of Bidco Africa.
