DCI Kinoti awarded by Radio Africa Group for his efforts in fighting corruption

Radio Africa Group on Friday presented an award to Directorate of Criminal Investigations boss George Kinoti for his exemplary work in fighting corruption and rogue leadership.

The award was presented during the DCI’s end year party at their headquarters in Kiambu Road by Star newspaper editor Paul Ilado who was accompanied by Digital editor Oliver Mathenge.

Ilado stated that Kinoti and Director of Public Prosecutions Noordin Haji were picked by the media group in its annual awards to Kenyans who have shown great dedication towards realizing better society.

He praised the two  fearless spy chiefs’ sense of purpose for raising the hopes of the entire nation that corruption can be defeated.

“The zeal with which Kinoti and Haji seized their mandates contrasts sharply with the approach of their predecessors” Ilado said.

He however noted that the huge challenge for the duo still remains securing convictions and recovering stolen property and public money.

DCI Boss George Kinoti on his part said the entire DCI department is grateful to God for seeing them through the 2019.

“We endeavour to use every moment of life God gives us to keep our country safe through diligent service to the people”, Kinoti said.

The party was aimed at reviewing the DCI progress over the year as well as laying out strategies to continue on their war on corruption among other crimes next year.

Present at the party were, Interior Principal Secretary Karanja Kibicho and the Inspector General of Police Hillary Mutyambai, numerous DCI Officers from across the country, civilian staff, officers from other NPS formations, retired DCI officers and members of the public who were invited.
