Kenya’s Eric Johannna signs with Swedish second – tier club

Kenya’s international Eric Johanna Omondi has joined a second tier Swedish club Jonkopsings Sodra IF on a two year contract from Brommapojkarna.

The former Mathare United player has spent three seasons in Sweden having previously been with lower tier side Vasulands.

Omondi thanked the club for believing in him said that he is ready take the new challenge.

“I thank the club for trusting me and giving the opportunity to join them. This is a big challenge as I move to a different club, city and league but I must say I am humble and happy as a player to have moved to a top league. Its now my duty to keep working harder and to improve” Omondi said.

He added that J Sodra has as good history in Swedish soccer and they will work had to even rise to top tier league.

J-Sodra sports director Kujtim Bala said they had to move with speed and get the signature of the Kenyan forward who was apparently under the radar of other Swedish clubs.
