Adrian Gilbert Muteshi, 86, the man whose land Deputy President William Ruto stole after the 2007/2008 Post Election Violence has died.

Mr Muteshi died in Nairobi on Tuesday 27th October, 2020.

“It is with a deep sense of gratitude to say farewell to our beloved Adrian …who passed away in Nairobi,” an obituary in one of the local dailies read.

The obituary, however, did not disclose the cause of death.

Muteshi’s friends and relatives are expected to meet at United Kenya Club beginning Thursday from 5 pm to 7 pm.

“…funeral programmes will be announced shortly,” the obituary read.

Muteshi’s Obituary

Muteshi was displaced from Eldoret during the 2007 post-election violence and his farm taken.

He accused Ruto of unlawfully taking over his 100-acre farm in Uasin Gishu and sought court intervention.

The High Court in Nairobi ruled that Muteshi had proved that the property was his and that he had been deprived of it.

In turn, Ruto was ordered to pay Sh5 million to the post-election violence victim for illegally occupying his land.

And this is what he calls hustle. Taking away big from hustlers themselves then giving them back wheelbarrows… I pity those who wanna see him rule this country. Same attitude like Sonko. The same people rooting for him are the same who voted in Sonko the thug. – Facebook User

Ruto through his lawyers said that he was an unsuspecting buyer who heard that some land was being sold and conducted due diligence before purchasing it from people he believed were the owners of the property.

Some analysts have said that DP Ruto is against Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) because he doesn’t want historical injustices revisited.

In 2017, DP Ruto said that the Truth Justice and Reconcilliation Commission (TJRC) report shouldn’t be implemented.

This kind of dealings may tell us what we need to know about wsr. He claims to be a Christian; how he deals with those deprived of justice by his actions proves if he really is one. – Facebook user.

I hope Ruto did surrender the land to Muteshi because the article does not say if he did. Stolen things are cursed things. On the land issue Moi and Kenyatta family own hundreds of thousands of acres. – Facebook user.
