Kenyan Bulletin has received reliable reports of a dawn attack from al-shabaab that left one KDF soldier dead and three with serious injuries.
According to our source in Mandera, the KDF officers were attacked by an improvised explosive device(IED).
“A recently graduated Cardet officer who was posted to lead KDF at Arabia, Lafey Constituency-Mandera county goes by the name Ali Nura passed on today afternoon after the vehicle that he was boarding ran over a planted IED on the road. The commander died instantly while other 3 are seriously injured,” a source told this writer.
That is how our officers always die due to insecurity.
“When leaders cry of insecurity some useless government officials like KIBICHO tweeting from the comfort of his bedroom in Nairobi refuting and denying the existence of this terror group,” another source said.
Mandera county has been a red zone from trouble brewed after Jubbaland security minister Abdirashid Janan sought protection in Mandera County with Somalia accusing Kenya of interfering in its internal matters.
Somalia President Mohamed Abdullahi alias Farmajo’s administration has since cut ties with Nairobi.
Abdirashid Jana is wanted by Mogadishu after escaping detention in August 2019. He was accused of killing civilians and obstruction of humanitarian aid.
Interior Security CS Fred Matiang’i had refuted claims that Farmajo has about Mandera.

In March last year, similar inter-clan clashes occurred and forces under Abdirashid Hassan Abdinur alias Abdirashid Janan were uprooted from Bula Hawa and have since been in Kenya.
Mandera residents are now in fear after that the fighting spilt to the border town of Mandera after Bula Hawa locals moved towards Mandera town.
It’s reported that Al Shabaab might have taken advantage of the situation to strike KDF soldier.
In the recent past, the terrorists have increased attacks along the border.
Mandera governor Ali Roba said that the militants have taken control of 50 per cent of the region.
