The founder of the ‘Churchill Show’ Daniel Ndambuki on Saturday lost his cool as he refuted claims that his show (Churchill Show) is frustrating comedians.
He was addressing comedians and mourners who attended the burial of Comedian Othuol Othuol in Ndere village, Siaya County.
Ben Maurice alias Othuol Othuol died at the Kenyatta National Hospital two weeks ago after a long battle with brain tumour.
Angry Churchill scolded the comedians who attribute their misfortunes on social media pressure as he pointed at Zeddy who in July who accused Churchill Show of mistreating comedians.
Zeddy also insinuated that entertainers likes Njoro and Paul Wa Kimani were battling depression due to poor management by Churchill Show.
Churchill told off lazy comedians to wake up and use platforms like Churchill Show, Netflix among others to grow their brands.
“Don’t wake up every morning and your telling them what you are eating, what your wearing, you have a life. Stop calling people your family because the moment you stop cracking jokes, they stop being your family. Leave the bloggers, they earn money through your stories,” Churchill said.
He added that he is doing his best and no one should blame him for what comedians in the country are going through but blame the government instead.
“I’m not the government. I’m not funded by the government. I’m just a person who had a small dream and whose ambition was to change the lives of as many Kenyans as I could and make them realize their dreams,”he added.
