Arsenal moved closer to winning the Premier League title after beating Burnley 1-0 on Monday night at the Emirates Stadium.
Kai Havertz scored the only goal of the match in the first half, giving Arsenal a very important win in the closing days of the season. The victory pushed Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta’s side five points clear at the top of the table and increased hopes of ending their 22-year wait for the league title.
The last time Arsenal won the Premier League was in 2004 under former manager Arsène Wenger during the famous “Invincibles” season, when the team finished the campaign without losing a single league game.
Arsenal fans created a loud atmosphere at the Emirates as thousands believed this could finally be their year. The team looked confident early in the match, with Bukayo Saka and Leandro Trossard causing problems for Burnley’s defence.
Although Burnley had already been relegated, they still made life difficult for Arsenal. The visitors defended well and prevented the Gunners from scoring more goals.

Centre-forward (striker) Kai Havertz later survived a possible red card after a strong challenge in the second half, but VAR allowed him to stay on the pitch.
Football analysts now believe Arsenal are favourites to win the title because of their strong defence and consistent performances in recent weeks. The club has not conceded a goal in its last four league matches.
Manchester City remain Arsenal’s biggest challenger, but Pep Guardiola’s side now has little room for mistakes.
Arsenal can officially become champions if City fails to win their next match. Even if City wins, Arsenal will still have a chance to secure the title with a victory over Crystal Palace in their final game.
