Atwoli’s Advice To Politicians Seeking His Endorsement
COTU boss Francis Atwoli

Self-declared Luhya Kingpin Francis Atwoli has sent a message to politicians seeking his blessings ahead of the August polls.

Speaking on Tuesday, 1st February 2022, the Central Organization of Trade Unions (COTU) boss announced that he is more than willing to offer free consultation services in his capacity as an “elder” but warned interested parties not to mistake the generosity as a form of endorsement.

“All my people in Kenya who are vying for various political seats are free to consult me as an elder but don’t mistake my generosity to be a political endorsement,” he wrote in part of the post published on Twitter.

The long-serving union leader known to heavily critique Deputy President William Ruto further added that any endorsements he makes in the coming general polls will only be made publicly.

“If I want to endorse you, I will go public,” he finished off.

Apart from lecturing politicians, Atwoli who openly supports the Azimio la Umoja Movement led by Raila Odinga has also disclosed that he is battling COVID-19 which he claims to have contracted the last month.

Speaking at Tom Mboya Labor College earlier today, Atwoli said that the disease did not have anyrarrar big impact on him because he was fully vaccinated.

“I contracted Covid-19 on 30th last month but luckily I had received two doses of the vaccine, so it did not have much impact on me,” he noted.
