Embakasi East Member of Parliament Babu Owino has been crowned Member of Parliament of the year in the colorful Mashujaa Awards hosted at Carnivore Simba Salon on Thursday night.
Taking to his social media accounts on Friday morning, the youthful MP thanked Kenyans for helping him bag the prestigious award.
“I’m taking this opportunity to thank God and the people of kenya for helping me win Member of Parliament of the year award bacause of our outstanding performance.God bless Kenyans,” tweeted Babu Owino.
The winners were determined through voting via online and offline platforms.
While sharing the news on his victory, the first time MP posted some of development projects that have been completed in his constituency under his tenure.
He shared the Utawala-Benedictor-Kinca-Githunguri road construction project which has been completed in Utawala ward.
Donholm Primary School Lavatories renovation project in Upper Savannah Ward is also a complete project that Mr Owino is proud of.
The annual Mashujaa Gala night dinner and awards ceremony is to recognize and celebrate those who continue to bit the odds and whose contribution to the Kenyan community remains an inspiration to many of us.
The Gala ceremony also celebrates Diaspora heroes that have made an impact in the Kenyan Diaspora community.
