Musician Kevin Bahati has claimed that he was supposed to be in season two of Netflix reality show ‘Young Famous and African’

While speaking with Mungai Eve, the artist said he lost a big chance to feature on the show as it was being cast at around the same time as last year’s political season. Bahati vied for the Mathare Mp seat and lost.

“But one of the things that I can say is I lost during the political season, You know I have never said it. We went through the run and everything. But sasa ile time walikuwa wanataka niende kushoot it was between July. I can’t take it lightly but God’s time is the best.”

Bahati says he doesn’t regret trying out politics even though he lost.

” Even though I put a stop to my career, I don’t regret running for a political seat I made a move. When we are young we can only take risks right now. I am proud of myself and I believe young people are proud of me too.”

The show follows a group of friends who are African entertainers and A-listers as they go about their lives having fun, flirting, and fighting in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Bahati is the second Kenyan celebrity to claim that they were approached to be part of the show. Last year rich kid Arnelisa Muigai also claimed that she was supposed to be in the show but she declined the offer.

Netflix which came under fire from Kenyans on why there was no Kenyan on the show explained that it was looking for a group of friends who have a connection to South Africa.

“We didn’t skip any country. We cannot have 50 people on the show so unfortunately, some candidates had to be left behind. We selected a group of connected friends who all have ties to South Africa,” said the Network.

In short Bahati is lying.
