Barcelona’s Umititi watched Arsenal begin a new decade on a winning touch

Barcelona defender Samuel Umititi was at the Emirates to watch EPL derby pitting Arsenal and Manchester.

Goals from Nicolas Pepe and Sokratis secured Arsenal the win. This was Mikel Arteta’s first win since taking over as the Gunner’s manager in December.

Umtiti watched the game from the executive box and shared photos on his social media pages.

This comes at a time when Gunner’s attention is on the January transfer window with their radar on a new center half.

They have been linked to Dayot Umpamecano but fans must have been excited with Umtiti’s presence at the game.

Umtiti is not joining the English club as he was only in London for holidays and took some time to watch the game.

Barcelona have been on a short break but will return to action on Saturday when they travel to Espanyol. Umtiti is expected to feature in the game from the beginning.

The French defender has no plans of exiting Barcelona now or joining any English club but some Spanish outlets had reported that the player will rejoin French side Lyon either as a player or coach when he leaves Barcelona.
