County assemblies are this Tuesday going to vote for the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) constitutional amendment bill en masse.
14 counties have already voted, 13 in favour and 1 rejecting it.
The votes have transcended geographical and ethnic backgrounds as counties in Rift valley, believed to be DP Ruto’s backyard and one in Central Kenya, believed to be anti-BBI have voted to pass the bill.
Counties that have so far okayed thew bill that seeks to change the structure of the executive, put more resources in the devolved units include, Homabay, Siaya, Kisumu, West Pokot, Busia, Trans Nzoia, Kajiado, Kisii, Vihiga, Nairobi, Laikipia and Samburu.
Baringo is the only county that has rejected the bill, thus far.

The bill requires the support of24 counties to go to the next phase.
