Big win for Fidel Odinga’s widow after court rejected Ida Odinga’s plea on Fidel’s property

It is a big win for Fidel Odinga’s widow Lwan Bekele after the court on Wednesday, October 16, rejected plea made made by Ida Odinga in regard to Fidel Odinga’s succession case.

High Court Judge Aggrey Muchelule rejected attempts by Ida through her lawyer, Victor Olao, to stop the media from covering details about the case she filed against Fidel’s widow concerning the multimillion estate.

“You are fighting in an open court; therefore, we cannot stop the media from accessing the courtroom, or covering the case. If the media finds the story juicy, let them publish,” Muchelule informed Olao.

This comes shortly after Muchelule ordered a DNA test on twins allegedly sired by Odinga’s deceased son Fidel.

The test was to be conducted to ascertain the paternity of the minors before proceeding with the succession case.

Ida moved to court to block Fidel’s widow Lwam Bekele, who had applied for a grant of representation to allow her to run the estate, after the death of her husband on January 4, 2015. Fidel had not left a will behind.

She had revealed that her son had sired twins with another woman, and they(children) had not been listed as the defendants.

Fidel’s widow however rubbished Ida’s claims terming them as false and further asserting that her son was the only heir to her late husband’s estate.
