We have been warning New Safaricom CEO, i hear that he’s as foreigner( we shall talk about this later), Peter Ndegwa about the Safaricom Killer Director Sylvia Mulinge. Well, our messages were delivered and now her goose is about to be cooked.
Ever since he took over from Michael Joseph, Peter Ndegwa has been holding secret meetings with three top managers at Safaricom raising eyebrows what he is up to.
The move has sent panic among the so called Bob Collymore orphans. The orphans were instrumental in running daily activities as Collymore was sick. They could decide what to be done, who to be sacked and other managerial duties.
One person whose future hangs in balance if what we hear from insiders is anything to go by is Sylvia Mulinge.
She is a living example of a bad omen to the company and a physical proof a karma to her own self. Sylvia Mulinge, the woman said to have been a darling to Collymore and was even being groomed to succeed him as CEO, a first Kenyan woman CEO if the deal succeeded.
Kenyan Bulletin can authoritatively reveal that there’s a plan to haunt Sylvia Mulinge out of the blue-chip PLC.
To haunt Sylvia is a plot to revive an accident case in Nairobi that saw a minor die in the slums of Kibera adjacent to the Southern bypass. Sylvia Mulinge was on a wheel of Toyota Prado KBU 483M with Safaricom Ltd registered as its legal owners.
Sylvia Mulinge and the late former immediate CEO Bob Collymore were sitting on the evidence of the crash. It is infact alleged that vital details and evidence of the accident were tempered thanks to a darling relatioship between Collymore and Mulinge. This is contrary to Vodafone— Safaricom’s parent Company— strict Occupational Health And Safety (OHS) policy.
Lawyers acting for the deceased wrote a protest letter to the Directorate of Public Prosecution on the matter. The letter was copied to the Inspector General of Police and the Independent Police Oversight Authority.
Kenyan Bulletin has learnt that the New CEO Peter Ndegwa is being put on pressure to revive the file and disciplinary action taken against Sylvia Mulinge. This is practically possible now that Bob Collymore has joined the dead minor in the other spiritual world.
Vodafone doesn’t entertain careless drunk drivers like Mulinge. She commited the offense with a company vehicle not to mention flaunting infringement of one of the core values for Vodafone PLC which, as part of its OHS, maintains a strict zero tolerance to loss of life or injury related to Vodafone operations or by any of its more than 100,000 employees worldwide.
Vodafone is also looking at the Bribing appetite that Mulinge and her ally have. She is said to have tried to bribe the family in a move the DPP termed as a scheme to compromise the family of the minor by illegally influencing law enforcement officials to avoid thorough investigations as to the cause and circumstances of the fatal accident. She is not only a trouble maker but also a lethal one who can bribe her way to heaven.
Peter Ndegwa has blessings from Safaricom’s Chief Corporate Affairs Officer, Stephen Chege who argues that Sylvia Mulinge’s incident has tainted Safaricom in public eyes.
The new CEO will also depend more on cooperation of Nicholas Mulila, Chief Corporate Security Officer whose office was deeply involved in the investigations.
Nicholas Mulila’s office final verdict was that Silvya Mulinge is guilty and needed to have resigned or fired. She did not resign nor got fired thanks to charms they shared with Collymore.
The Late CEO created a powerful position of Chief Customer Officer for Sylvia Mulinge after his theatrics failed to land her the top Vodacom position in Tanzania. Tanzania played safe on this and that backfired badly on the then Guyanese CEO and President Kenyatta.
The headache for the New CEO is the most suitable choice to replace Sylvia Mulinge, who might be fired any time from now. Rito Okuthe is favoured to replace Mulinge in the powerful slot of Chief customer officer. Mrs Okuthe is the current Chief Enterprise Business office.
However, other members involved want Debrah Mallowah, Chief Business Development officer be appointed and named as the new Chief Customer Officer.
Kenyan Bulletin has leanrt that Sylvia Mulinge’s position is second in command at the Safaricom PLC management after that of CEO.
Earlier this week, we exposed power struggles at Safaricom. Our sources have confirmed that meetings were held to establish the source behind our article that send shivers across the board.
Sylvia Mulinge was linked to being the source with others claiming, bitter Luos at the blue-chip establishment are the ones leaking insider information. Moreover, a section of the board of directors who were opposed to Ndegwa’s appointment were also linked to being the source behind the leaks.
According to the Weekly Citizen, Safaricom directors are concerned that the firm cannot have a Kikuyu chairman in the name of Nicholas Nganga and Peter Ndegwa(Kikuyu) as CEO. Going by the current composition of the board and top management, the Kikuyu tribal factor is emerging, one of the concerned directors told our investigative team in confidence.
It still puzzles me why Safaricom’s late CEO had raised concerns about the Kikuyunizing of the Telco yet he was in bed with the masterminds of the Kikuyunizing jinx.
